Dua Lipa is an English musician and singer who was born on August 22nd, 1995, in London United Kingdom. Dua Lipa signed with Warner Bros Records in 2014 after working as a model. She then launched her self-titled debut album in 2017. The album reached the top three position at the top of the U.K. albums chart and included eight singles, which included one of them being the U.K. top-ten single New Rules and the number one single Be the One. I.D.G.A.F. Lipa has been awarded the Brit Awards in the year 2018 for British Female Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act and her album has been declared platinum throughout the world. Dua Lipa was born to Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa A Rexha Lipa and Dukagjin Dukagjin in London on the 22nd of August, 1995. She is of Bosnian heritage by her maternal grandmother. It is possible to trace her ancestors all the way back to Peja which is a city located in Kosovo. Both of her grandfathers were historians. Her siblings include Rina and Gjin. Lipa was heavily influenced by music by her father, who was the guitarist and lead singer of the Kosovan rock group Oda. His father would play music at home, and included songs by David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead The Police Stereophonics. Lipa started to sing when she was only six years old. When she was nine, she began singing in Sylvia Young Theater School. Lipa has sung If I'm Not Got You and Beautiful of Christina Aguilera, both on YouTube. Lipa's record contract with Warner Bros. Records was signed in the year 2014. The first single she released was New Love was released in August 2015.
